Inspired by the legendary South American Dakar Rally, the AEV Salta XR Wheel is custom made for your Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT, and features a popular size of 17×8.5 with 5.72in Backspace (+ 25mm Offset). This provides an ideal balance of tire clearance, scrub radius and handling whether your travels take you down the road, or down the trail.
You may never find yourself competing in the legendary Dakar Rally, but that doesn’t mean you have to settle for any old regular wheel during all your important ventures. Not when AEV has carved a distinctive 17×8.5 cast aluminum wheel inspired by the Dakar and named after Salta – one of the famous cities along the race route. AEV’s Salta XR wheel is 10-spokes of A356 T6 cast aluminum toughness that is specially designed for Jeep JL Wranglers & JT Gladiators, and features a unique + 25mm offset (5.72” backspace) providing an ideal balance of tire clearance, scrub radius and handling. Plus, AEV recesses the valve stem on this wheel in order to provide extra protection from rocks or other trail debris. All OEM lug nuts are compatible and do not require a thin wall socket to install, while you are also able to continue utilizing the factory tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Of course, like all AEV wheels, the Salta XR has been tested to all SAE J2530 standards for things like cornering, fatigue and impact strength. Lifetime structural warranty. Sold individually.
Recessed Valve Stem: The AEV Salta XR Wheel in Black utilizes recessed valve stems, meaning stems are protected from damage or breakage while on the trail, or during every day use.
Center Caps Included: AEV will not make you hunt for a center cap to install once the rims are mounted, as the wheels include a high end matte black AEV logo center cap.
TPMS Compatible: Wheels are specially designed by AEV to work with either the factory or aftermarket TPMS units.
