Description

Performance Upgrade. The AFE BladeRunner GT Series Intercooler with Tubes is engineered to significantly enhance airflow and cooling efficiency for turbocharged diesel trucks. It reduces intake air temperatures, increasing horsepower and torque, making it essential for improved engine performance and reliability under high boost conditions.

Construction and Appearance. This intercooler features TIG-welded aluminum end tanks made from 3/16-inch thick plate and incorporates multi-directional vanes to optimize airflow through the core. The core employs a large 2.5-inch bar and plate design for superior heat dissipation compared to traditional tube and fin units. All inlet and outlet connections are billet aluminum, paired with mandrel bent 3-inch powder-coated aluminum tubes for durability and enhanced flow.

Installation. Installation is straightforward with included hardware and does not require drilling. The intercooler and tubes fit securely using the supplied heavy-duty 4-ply couplings and constant tension T-bolt clamps, ensuring a leak-free connection.

Application. Designed specifically for the 2011 to 2016 model years of the 6.6L Duramax Silverado 2500 HD.
