Construction and Appearance. Crafted using a vacuum infusion process with 3K, 2×2 twill carbon fiber cloth, this hood offers a consistent weave pattern and an optimal carbon-to-resin ratio for exceptional stiffness and strength. The surface is protected and polished with a marine-grade gel coat containing UV inhibitors, delivering a durable, high-luster gloss finish that resists fading and wear.
Installation. Installation requires moderate skill, with minor adjustments expected for a precise fitment. This hood mounts using original equipment manufacturer (OEM) hardware, which is not included, and does not require drilling. Hood pins and a heat shield are required for safety. Reinstallation of OE gas struts is not recommended due to pressure concerns.
Application. This hood fits the 2014 to 2019 Chevrolet Corvette C7 models including the Grand Sport and Stingray trims. It features a carbon fiber exterior bonded to a fiberglass skeleton, ensuring strength and weight savings suitable for these specific models.
