DescriptionThe Pro Front Baer Big Brake System is designed to be used on 2018-Current Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT with OE front spindles and hubs. This system features the 6-piston (6P) caliper mounted to a 13.5″, 1 piece slot, drill, zinc plated rotor. The 6P caliper has D.O.T compliant dust and weather seals and uses the popular D0731 pad type. This System includes all brackets and mounting hardware. The 13.5″ Pro Front Baer Brake Kit is engineered to fit most 17” or larger wheels. Baer takes pride in having their Brake Kits MADE IN USA with US sourced materials.
Please Note: To preserve and assure the best quality, BAER Brake Systems are built to order and can take up to 4 weeks for delivery from the manufacturer. Note: This Kit does not include brake hoses, and Re-uses the factory park brake.
Caliper/Piston Count/Mount Type: This system features the 6-piston, 2-piece caliper with six, 3/8” cross bolts for added strength. All Baer calipers are machined out of extruded or forged aluminum and are 100% manufactured in house.
Performance Rotors: A 13.5″, 1 piece slotted, drilled, zinc plated rotor is a curved vane design. The curved vane is longer which adds more stability and mass to the rotor. Most important, a curved vane rotor acts like a centrifugal pump when rotating, pulling air into the center (eye) of the rotor and pumping it out the outer edges.
Dust & Weather Shields: Baer installs correct weather and dust seals to meet DOT specifications. This helps to keep dirt and dust from the brake pads from building up in the caliper pistons keeping them clean and working effectively.
Abutment & Clips: Baer Calipers feature stainless steel abutment and anti-rattle (spring tension) clips. These provide protection (a wear surface) for the caliper so over time the pad backing plate does not damage the caliper body. The spring tension clips keep pressure on the pad so any pad movement is limited and does not create noise.
Banjo Fittings: Baer Banjo Fittings are a much cleaner and correct way to connect a hose to a brake caliper. Banjo fittings were designed for high pressure hydraulic fluid transfer applications and are common on OE cars for brake, fuel and oil fittings.
