This upgrade reduces drivetrain slop and maintains proper driveshaft alignment under load, delivering improved throttle response and more consistent driveline behavior during shifts and launches.
Construction and Appearance. Made from high-strength materials, this carrier features a two-part clamp design that securely holds the OEM bearing without requiring driveshaft removal. The hard durometer bushings are optimized for track use, providing maximum rigidity and minimal movement. The finish is clean and functional, built to withstand harsh operational conditions.
Installation. Installation requires moderate skill as the OEM carrier must be removed using a cutting tool, but the driveshaft itself does not need to be removed or disassembled. The new carrier clamps easily around the existing bearing for a clean, secure fit.
Application. Designed specifically for 2005-2014 Mustang GT and GT500 models, this upgrade works with manual and automatic transmissions equipped with 4.6L or 5.0L V8 engines. It is not compatible with V6 models due to the absence of a center support bearing.
