New ball joints will smooth out a rough ride, creating a firm grip between the hub assembly and the axle. Failing ball joints allow play at the knuckle which leads to the issues and factory Mopar parts can fix it!
Smooth Body: Engineered to press into and fit the knuckle eyes snug, without causing the eye to stretch. If too much play has caused the eyes to wallow out and no longer hold factory style ball joints, then look to the aftermarket for “knurled” ball joints which will have a bigger body designed to cut and grip the knuckle better.
