Making them extremely durable and easy to maneuver. Just wedge the boards under the tires that are spinning to attain traction and get out of that rut. You can also use the shovel to dig around and maximize the position of the recovery board. They come in a bright orange color so they can easy be located in that mucky mud hole. No need to worry about breaking the boards as they are rated to withstand pressures up to 20,000 lbs.
