Second Camera Integration. The Second Camera Option for 8-Inch Factory Display allows adding a universal rear camera to Ford trucks equipped with an 8-inch factory display, enabling toggle control between the factory backup camera and an additional second camera. This addition improves visibility for tasks such as hooking up a fifth wheel or monitoring cargo, eliminating the need for an external spotter.
Construction and Appearance. The camera system features a high-grade Super CMOS sensor with night vision capabilities and a wide 170-degree viewing angle, enclosed in an IP68 rated waterproof and dustproof housing. It includes two mounting brackets for versatile installation either behind the license plate or on any flat vehicle surface, and uses a hard-wired RCA connection compatible with the factory interface.
Installation. Installation involves connecting the supplied plug-and-play harness to the factory radio’s existing rear camera connector and mounting the camera using the included brackets. While drilling is generally not required, some wiring inside the cab to a reverse-activated 12V power source may be necessary to complete the setup.
Warranty. This product is backed by a three-year warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and support.
Application. Designed specifically for Ford F-150 models from 2013 to 2020 with factory tailgate cameras and an 8″ factory display, this camera is not compatible with trucks equipped with 360 surround-view systems.
