Product Overview. The Turbosmart GenV ProGate50 External Wastegate; 14 PSI is a high-performance external wastegate designed for precise boost control in turbocharged engines. It regulates exhaust flow to the turbocharger, allowing for consistent and safe boost pressure during motorsport and high-performance applications. This wastegate enhances engine efficiency and protects against over-boost conditions.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from high-temperature 347 stainless steel with Nitronic 60 valve guides, the wastegate features a robust and durable construction. It includes 17-7 PH stainless steel springs and strap-type V-band clamps, finished with a sleek black coating that resists thermal stress and fatigue.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with a direct fit upgrade to Gen4 Turbosmart wastegates and does not generally require drilling. The kit includes all necessary flanges and clamps, and the actuator housing rotates for optimum hose routing.
Application. Fits a universal range of turbocharged engines; some adaptation may be required for custom manifold or exhaust configurations.
